LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
This Limited Lifetime Warranty is offered by Smith & Wesson and applies to Smith & Wesson™ brand products. Covered Products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the Covered Products. Smith & Wesson will repair or replace with an item of equivalent value, at its option, any Covered Product or component part which is found to be defective under normal use and service, without charge, and within a reasonable amount of time after notification and delivery of the Covered Product (as set forth below), for the lifetime of the Covered Products. The life of the Covered Product means the life of the materials and components of the product. While Smith & Wesson uses the very best materials and components for its products, all materials and components eventually wear out with use and exposure over time. A Covered Product’s life is therefore measured by how much use it gets and how well it is cared for -- not its overall age.
This warranty is limited to the original owner of the Covered Product and is not transferable. If the Covered Product was not purchased new from Smith & Wesson or an authorized retailer this warranty is null and void. In order to be eligible for service or replacement under this warranty, the original owner must provide valid proof of purchase (e.g., a dated sales receipt). With respect to such Covered Products, this warranty supersedes any and all other warranties.
This warranty does not cover normal maintenance and service, ordinary wear and tear, and does not apply to any Covered Products or component parts which have been lost or stolen; or subject to commercial use, corrosion, misuse, neglect, intentional damage, carelessness, accident; unauthorized or improper disassembly, adjustments, modifications, or repairs made or attempted by anyone other than a qualified technician following Smith & Wesson authorized procedures; or as a result of failure to follow the Covered Product’s operating and care instructions. This warranty also does not cover batteries, or defects arising from improper or faulty batteries, or any damage that is cosmetic only and that does not affect the covered Product’s operation or performance (as determined by Smith & Wesson in its sole discretion).

Warranty claims should specify the model and, where applicable, the lot number of the Covered Product at issue along with a description of the difficulty or defect experienced. It is recommended that shipments be insured by the owner, since Smith & Wesson will accept no responsibility for loss or damage in transit. Transportation and insurance charges for return to the owner will be paid by Smith & Wesson if the claim is covered by this warranty.
Smith & Wesson products are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for one year from the original purchase date, and to the original purchaser. This guarantee is voided by misuse, abuse, improper maintenance or alterations of the product, and does not cover any normal wear and tear that might occur as determined by Smith & Wesson Knife Company.Examples of items not covered by warranty:
- Rusted/spotted/stained blade
- Broken/bent handle
- Broken knife tip
- Dull/chipped blade
- Scratched blade coating
In the unlikely event that the knife blade breaks, we will do a hardness test to determine if it is eligible for replacement.We only warranty knives that are purchased from our authorized Smith & Wesson dealers (in store or online) or our website (store.smith-wesson.com). Web-only resale businesses (example: Amazon, eBay, or other similar websites) are NOT authorized dealers. If you feel that there is a product defect, please notify us immediately using the link below and return the knife to us with the original packaging and your purchase receipt within 30 days. Once we receive the knife our warranty department will examine it to determine if it is defective and eligible for a replacement. YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR ORIGINAL ORDER NUMBER (PROOF OF PURCHASE) WITH THE WARRANTY CLAIM.
WORK NOT COVERED
If the work required is not covered by this warranty you will receive a quotation for repair or replacement which must be authorized by you. No actual work will be done without your approval. Return shipments can be shipped to Smith & Wesson via UPS, FedEx or U.S. mail at your cost. Repaired or replaced product will be shipped back to you via FedEx requiring an adult signature upon receipt.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES FOR THE COVERED PRODUCTS, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SMITH & WESSON’S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL RETAIL AMOUNT PAID BY THE OWNER OF THE DEFECTIVE COVERED PRODUCT OR COMPONENT PART. SMITH & WESSON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES WITH RESPECT TO ECONOMIC LOSS, INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER AS A RESULT OF BREACH OF THESE WARRANTIES, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties and/or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
